Kahani Jaani Anjaani Podcast – Episode 5 – Cute Mohar Singh

Kahani Jaani Anjaani - Podcast by Piyush Agarwal

पहले तो आप सभी को हैप्पी दिवाली!

It’s here, the fifth episode of “Kahani Jaani Anjaani“, a Hindi Story Podcast by Piyush Agarwal. Like earlier episodes I am back with a new story by a young writer of this era. Thank you for your comments and feedback regarding the last episode which was a guest special. It’s humbling to know that so many of you are listening to the podcasts and also finding it worth your time. Being a special episode, your feedback has provided me the confidence and bring more changes in the podcast. If you haven’t still listened to that episode, I suggest you check it out now – Episode 4 – Dor.

This episode is a special one as well, keep reading to find out why!

Did the 5th episode come sooner than you expected?

If it did, hope it was a pleasant surprise. And what more, I am looking at bringing a lot more discipline and predictability in my podcast. Unlike earlier where I would record and post stories only when I feel like, here are a few promises I am making:

  • The 1st Season of Kahani Jaani Anjaani will have 12 episodes – 9 Solo & 3 Guest ones
  • From now on you can expect a new episode every 2 weeks (Saturday/Sunday)
  • Will publish show notes for each episode which will provide you more information regarding the episode
  • Finally, will reply to all emails received for the podcast on my id – hello@piyushagarwal.com

So which story do you narrate in 5th Episode?

Since we listened to two older stories in episode 3 and episode 4, I wanted to bring a new age writer and story on this episode. Going by that this week’s short story is by Nikhil Sachan from his book, a collection of short stories, “Zindagi Aais Pais“.

The story is called Cute Mohar Singh.

Tell us more!

Cute Mohar Singh as the name suggests is a sweet and fun story that takes one through the life of a bandit who is known for his notoriety and crimes. The story shows how this man gets tamed and takes a different path using humor as one its core ingredients. In this hatke romantic story, Nikhil Sachan, spins a fun vibe and keeps you engaged throughout.

But who is Nikhil Sachan?

Nikhil Sachan is a IIT-IIM product who is definitely not writing like the one you know of. An author and columnist, he is also a marketing head in a major company. Residing in Mumbai, he has already penned three books – two of them are a collection of short stories and the latest one is a novel. You can find links to his books below.

But why is this Kahani Jaani Anjaani episode special?

Two reasons. Firstly it’s longer. Double the usual length. Now that can be a good or bad thing. Hope it’s the former.

Secondly, in this episode, I announce a new initiative. Along with reading stories by established writers, this platform now opens itself up for a lot more unknown writers – YOU. Yes, you can now submit your original stories and poems via email. Select few will be featured on the podcast. Hope that sounds exciting.

Now, without further delay, please listen to the 5th episode and share your feedback in the comments below.

How to buy Nikhil’s books and contact him?

You can contact Nikhil via his Facebook profile.

The books are available on all online portals and offline stores. Below are the online links for his books:

  1. Namak Swadanusar – Amazon | Flipkart
  2. Zindagi Aais Pais – Amazon | Flipkart
  3. UP 65 – Amazon | Flipkart
